i have no idea if it's already been done but vat7k soul eater au. I LOVE AUS I'M SCREAMING

but basically, the idea i have is that varian is a meister and hugo is a weapon. i had the thought that hugo could be some form of gauntlets or mechanical arms (as a reference to the popular headcanon he has a mechanical arm).

on top of this: nuru as a meister and yong as a weapon!!! i was thinking he could be a flamethrower LMAOAOAO (in all seriousness, he'd probably be something else. some sort of firearm though)

and of course for eugene and rapunzel. i was thinking eugene as the meister, and his old weapon partners used to be those two really big guys who i forgot the names of, but he left them for rapunzel. as for her, i was thinking like. a mace almost? a mace (i do not think this is the right word LMAO) attached to a chain with spikes on it that looks like a sun (as a reference to her long as fuck hair and her whole sun thing HAHA)

i have ideas for cassandra and lance (+kiera and catalina) too but i wanna think about those a bit more

Meanwhile Varian just pulled Prometheus up. Lifts him like a bunch of grapes.

Varian would asks Eugene to bring him his toolbox and Eugene is like "Sure thing", but when Eugene tries, it doesn't budge. Lance is like "Let me try" and it's the same thing. They both try lifting that thing and along the way Rapunzel and Cassandra come along and all four try it. Finally, Varian is fed up and just picks it up himself. With one hand. Like it's nothing. All the other's are totally baffled.

The idea of Varian being extremely strong despite not looking like it is very enjoyable to me. So, I'd like to imagine that once Hugo meets Quirin, he's all like "So that's from whome he inherited his strenght." But Quirin says "Actually, he got that from his mother." And Hugo is very intrigued. So Quirin tells him a little annecdote: Back in the Dark Kingdom, it was tradition that when an outsider wanted to mary a member of The Brotherhood, they had to win in a fight with the other members. Of course Quirin was a little bit worried at first for his beloved Ulla, but she just shrugged and Donella was all like "Just stand back and watch." And Ulla absolutely kicked their butts. Without weapons and alchemy she simply beath the crap out of Adira, Hector and Edmund. Adira never recovered from that humiliation. And Quirin was COMPLETELY smitten by his pretty little sorceress who just casually lifted his teammates and threw them to the ground. Later when they married it was actually Ulla who carried Quirin over the threshold. Also, Ulla was a witch, so she maybe wore a bright crimson wedding dress.

Okay, let me think. As you know, and can also see from my blog, I'm a huge fan of Varian growing tall and Varian being really strong. I also like the thought of Varian's mother being extremely strong. I enjoy big hugs. Large bearhugs that lift people off the ground. So, Varian lifting a group of people and scooping them up is very enjoyable. I've seen fanart of Varian giving a bearhug to Hugo, Nuru and Yong, but not to his cousins, uncle and aunt. That would be something cute. Or maybe when Varian returns he lifts Rapunzel, Eugene and Lance, and maybe also Catalina and Kiera. Maybe he could have also had a growth spurt and the others are baffled at how he has grown while he was abroad. Whatever group you like the most.

Another idea, that is a bit more specific, is that Prometheus hurts one of his legs and while the others are worried how they and their cart will reach the next town Varian simply asks if Yong, Nuru and Hugo could move a little bit. And then he simply lifts up Prometheus, as if he's light as a feather, total piece of cake for Varian. Then he just pulls the cart himself. Totally easy peasy and much faster than the mule. The others would like to ask how he does that, but they are too occupied holding onto their seats. This is maybe my favourite idea.

And maybe also another idea with the Brotherhood. When Varian reaches the Dark Kingdom, he had a huge growth spurt and is actually taller than his father's former comrades. Adira can't stand it, it doesn't bother Edmund at all and just accepts that he has to look up at Quirin's and Hector, he is totally torn, he's livid that he's the shortest member of the Brotherhood again, but he's also overjoyed that Adira is unhappy.

I also love the idea of being really strong. To think that this dainty woman is actually much stronger than her hulking husband is so funny. And that Varian has inherited his strength from her. I'd love to see her lift her husband in a bearhug. Or maybe, and that's a bit of a bigger idea, Ulla, Donella and Cyrus need money and Ulla comes up with the idea of winning money with arm wrestling, the image of that short woman beating men who are several times as large as her sounds so funny.

This is all I can remember at the moment.

Oh, I got another one. Could you imagine a drawing of Eugene, Cassandra and Rapunzel sitting on Maximus with Varian lifting the horse underneath? Like Pippi Longstockings.

When it comes to strong Varian I actually prefer him being short. Being weak looking but secretly bloody strong is so funny. Or maybe Varian being stronger and physically besting someone really huge. Like The Baron, Vladimir or Attila. Or maybe even Varian knocking out, lifting and throwing away Wreck Marauder.

That would be so cool.

Or when Cassandra returns to Corona for a visit after some year, she's thinking how Varian might have changed and accidentally bumps into someone, lets say bellow the chest, so she bumps with her head into his abdomen and wants to confront the guy who's several heads taller than her, she absolutely shocked to find that this is Varian and he's so happy to see her again that he lifts her into a near bone crushing hug.

I would still have some ideas for drawings, but they are rather big.

One would be a bit of a short comic page.

Varian returns after a long journey back home and everyone is absolutely flabbergasted with how much he grew. He's now even taller than Lance, Frederic and his dad. Of course this could also a be a short comic where they don't actually recognize him at first because of his growth spurt.

And maybe a third one.

The Saporians escape after a few years from prison, and they want to take revenge on Varian but instead of a short, frightened boy they find that he had a massive growth spurt and now towers over all of them.

I know those are huge, but I still want to write down those ideas. Maybe there will be somebody who genuinely likes and draws them.

Tangled RPG Weapons

Because apparently my brain won’t let go of this idea, I thought of something else. I mentioned weapons in the first post and I wanted to expand on that. I’m not doing a complete weapons list. I’m just going to be doing three weapons and some flavor text because...I think it’s fun.

CHARACTER

WEAPON TYPE: The type of weapon unique to that character.

INITIAL WEAPON: The first weapon they are given in the beginning of the game.

JOKE WEAPON: A weapon that does little damage but offers double EXP.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: The strongest weapon for that character that can be found. Offers a bonus ability.

RAPUNZEL

WEAPON TYPE: Frying Pan

INITIAL WEAPON: Kitchen Pan, a frying pan commonly found in any kitchen.

JOKE WEAPON: Badminton Racket, a racket used to play badminton and that’s pretty much it.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: Corona’s Best, a frying pan made by the citizens of Corona to show their love for the princess. CRITICAL PLUS, increases the chance of landing a critical hit.

EUGENE FITZHERBERT

WEAPON TYPE: Short Sword

INITIAL WEAPON: Guard Sword, a sword commonly used by the Corona Royal Guard.

JOKE WEAPON: Toy Sword, a children’s toy. Not sure what’s it made out of.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: King Edmund’s Sword, the sword passed down by the kings of the Dark Kingdom. RARE PLUS, increases the chances of enemies dropping rare items.

VARIAN

WEAPON TYPE: Alchemy Set

INITIAL WEAPON: Basic Alchemy Set, a few chemicals from Varian’s home in a small travel kit.

JOKE WEAPON: Flavored Drink Kit, used to make flavored drinks. Ingredients include sugar, water and purple. That’s what it says on the label. Sugar, water, purple.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: Master Alchemy Set, everything an alchemist could need in a convenient travel case. POTENCY PLUS, increases the effectiveness of items.

LANCE STRONGBOW

WEAPON TYPE: Knuckles

INITIAL WEAPON: Knuckle Dusters, metal knuckles commonly used by thugs.

JOKE WEAPON: Oven Mitts, commonly found in any kitchen and they have a floral print. How nice.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: Kaiser Knuckles, knuckles covered in precious gems and jewels. They probably hurt. DROP PLUS, increases the amount of items dropped by enemies.

KIERA

WEAPON TYPE: Knife

INITIAL WEAPON: Dagger, a knife commonly used by thieves. 

JOKE WEAPON: Butter Knife, can be found in any kitchen. Could also be used for jam, not just butter.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: Flynnigan Rider’s Knife, the dagger owned by the legendary Flynnigan Rider...who probably stole it from someone else. GOLD PLUS, increases the amount of gold dropped by enemies.

CATALINA

WEAPON TYPE: Claws

INITIAL WEAPON: Cat Claws, small metal claws worn over the hands.

JOKE WEAPON: Back Scratcher, the end of the back scratcher but without the long stick part so pretty much useless now.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: Weapon X, claws that were said to belong to a living weapon. TRANSFORM PLUS, allows Catalina to stay in werewolf form for 5 turns.

BONUS CHARACTER

CASSANDRA (PRE-MOONSTONE)

WEAPON TYPE: Longsword

INITIAL WEAPON: Rapier, a sword that is difficult to master.

JOKE WEAPON: Wooden Sword, used for training. Still hurts though.

ULTIMATE WEAPON: Corona’s Finest, a sword used by the greatest sword masters in Corona. SLASH ALL, attacks all enemies in 1 turn.

Physical Appearance Valerie has pretty long and wavy platinum blonde hair, which she always collects in a large braid. Her eyes are a greyish tone of purple, her face is oval shaped and pale. Her nose is long, a little upturned and her lips are thin. She's pretty tall (170 cm/ 5'5''), with broad shoulders, muscular arms and pronounced hips. She has large scars of scratches on her left arm and the Brotherhood tatoo on her right hand. Even though Valerie should be almost forty years old now, her aging process has slowed down after taking oath to the Moonstone (a bit like for the other member of the Brotherhood) and now she looks the same age as Eugene and Cassandra.When she left the Mountains she was wearing: a white sleeveless shirt, loose-fitting and low-crotch blue trousers, fur boots, a pitch green leather bodice and two big belts. She never separates from her the black cloak with fur collar, her fighting staff, leather cuff and the broach of the Dark Kingdom emblem. All gifted respectively from: King Edmund, Adira, Hector and Quirin. When she went to live in Old Corona Quirin gifted her two outfits: a new casual one and a dress. The first is a turquoise dress with short skirt and half sleeves, brown trousers and heavy boots. The dress is covered by a long opened corset with puffed sleeves. The second one (which she used at her first village festival where she met Dean for the first time) is a long white dress with puffed half sleeves, all covered by a red corset attached to a sort of opened long brown skirt. This comes with black slippers.

Trivia -The scars on her left arm were made by a bear in whose attack she lost one of the cuff that Hector had given her. And that’s why she doesn’t like bears. -In her stories the Queen often talked about the sea, since then Valerie is fascinated by it and dreams of being able to see it someday. -The gifts that King Edmund and the Brotherhood gave Valerie before going to the Mountains have a meaning, some linked to what they taught her. -The red and the purple textiles in her twelve-years-old outfit represents the two most important people in her life: Quirin and the Queen. -Valerie was inspired by many other characters from other media: Elsa (Frozen), Adora (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power), Daenerys Targaryen (Game of Thrones), Pink Diamond and Pearl (Steven Universe), Astrid Hofferson (How to Train Your Dragon), Korra (The Legend of Korra) and Kagami Tsurugi (Miraculous Ladybug).

Quick Headcanon Dump for; Rose 

she is a terrible cook and baker, to the point where she is banned from any kitchen alone, but even then, people are wary of her being there because a mess is bound to happen if she is there. 

rose absolutely loves science, thanks to varian - and it was her top subject in school.

like her mother she is a huge reader, and like her father her favourite series is the flynnigan rider series 

speaking of the flynnigan rider series, she was read them as a child and latched onto flynn and wanted to be like him, to the point where someone to be decided nicknamed her little flynn. the nickname stuck, but as she got older - she wanted the little dropped and her family complied.

tea is her favourite drink

had a fall from a horse when she was five years old, and as a result has a limp and the only horse she trusts is max and fidella, other horse she will cower away from

is generally lovey and happy most of the time, but the moment you hurt someone she cares about, run, she is not above using alchemy, pranks or any form of weapon to 

varian and lance are uncles to her, and kiera and catalina are cousins

when she was fifteen years old, she had dated a guy named jake, who was not overall a nice person, he did put up a good façade though. but eventually, everyone saw through it and saw how bad he was for rose. and it really came to a head when rose was injured in her shoulder - which now left a scar. she and jake dated for six months

like her mother, loves going barefoot

like her father, is an excellent thief. and is commonly the person to look at if something is ‘missing’

by auradon standards, rose is a tomboy. she hates dresses and skirts, loves wearing shorts and pants.

she plays piano and would play with her mother and varian, and she becomes a piano teacher

Tangled Characters as RPG-esque Characters

Here’s a dumb idea I just thought of this morning. I’ve been playing Final Fantasy VII a lot recently and watching Tangled the Series at the same time so now my brain is starting to combine the two. So in order to get this idea out of my brain, here you go. Imagine if this was a turn based RPG game with three characters to a party. Enjoy:

CHARACTER

WEAPON: Can be upgraded as the game progresses

SPECIAL ABILITY: A command unique to that character

LIMIT BREAK: A finishing move enabled after taking a certain amount of damage

RAPUNZEL

JOB CLASS: Sundrop Princess

WEAPON: Frying Pan

SPECIAL ABILITY 1: First Incantation, Rapunzel restores health to all allies

SPECIAL ABILITY 2: Second Incantation, Rapunzel damages all enemies and negates defense at the cost of her HP and 3 turns.

LIMIT BREAK: Final Incantation, Rapunzel restores health to all allies, cures all status ailments and deals significant damage to all enemies, negating defense

EUGENE FITZHERBERT

JOB CLASS: Thief

WEAPON: Short Sword

SPECIAL ABILITY: Steal Item, Eugene steals rare items from enemies

LIMIT BREAK: Greatest. Attack. Ever., Eugene attacks an enemy doing 3x normal damage.

WEAPON: Knuckles

SPECIAL ABILITY: Charm, Lance attempts to talk an enemy out of battle. Results in either CONFUSE, MANIPULATE or FLEE. Doesn’t always work.

LIMIT BREAK: Stop & Drop, Lance attacks an enemy negating defense and increasing drop luck rate.

VARIAN

JOB CLASS: Alchemist

WEAPON: Alchemy Set

SPECIAL ABILITY: Mix, Varian mixes two items together to make a stronger item. Cost 2 items.

LIMIT BREAK: But with the power of ALCHEMY!, Varian throws a mixture that causes random status ailments for all enemies.

KIERA

JOB CLASS: Striker

WEAPON: Knife

SPECIAL ABILITY: Steal Coin, Kiera steals money from enemies

LIMIT BREAK: Silent Strike, Kiera attacks all enemies negating defense.

CATALINA

JOB CLASS: Werewolf

WEAPON: Claws

SPECIAL ABILITY: Transform, Catalina transforms into a werewolf for 3 turns, greatly increasing her stats. Requires 3 turns afterwards to transform again.

LIMIT BREAK: Free the Beast, Catalina attacks all enemies in a werewolf induced rage.

BONUS CHARACTER(S)

JOB CLASS: Bodyguard

WEAPON: Longsword

SPECIAL ABILITY: Taunt, Cassandra forces enemies to focus on her

SPECIAL ABILITY: Double Slash, Cassandra attacks twice in 1 turn.

LIMIT BREAK: Third Incantation, Cassandra inflicts massive damage to all enemies.

This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
